This year will be the 50th congress of the German Society for Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology. This jubilee edition will be held at Congress-Centrum Koelmesse in Cologne, Germany from October 24 till 27.
During this years’ congress Pathogen Inactivation will be an essential topic and will be covered by a number of sessions in the official programme on Thursday October 26. Such as, the DGTI Neighbour Day (Netherlands/Belgium) morning session on Pathogen Inactivation, where B. Mansouri from the Swiss Red Cross will present the long term results with the INTERCEPTTM Blood System.
Subsequently followed, at 12:15 pm, with the Joint Lunch Symposium focused on the Current status of Pathogen Inactivation Technologies. Here Dr. J Irsch will present on Pathogen Inactivation with the INTERCEPT Blood System – Experiences from more than a decade in routine use and future developments. The presentations on the different technologies will be followed by a panel discussion.
